What is an M2 Machine Gun?
The M2 Machine Gun, Browning .50 Caliber Machine Gun, is a heavy duty machine gun, designed towards the end of World War One, by John Browning. It is very similar in design to the earlier M1919 Browning machine gun, which was chambered for the .30-06 cartridge. The John Browning .50 caliber machine gun is used a lot as a vehicle weapon and for aircraft armament by the United States of America from the 1920s to the present day. It was heavily used during World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, as well as during wars in Iraq and Afghanistan in the 21st Century.
Design of the M2 Machine Gun
The M2 is an air-cooled, belt-fed weapon, under the class of a machine gun. The M2 fires from a closed bolt, operated on the short recoil principle. The M2 Weapon fires the .50 BMG cartridge, which offers long range, accuracy and good stopping power.
The M2 is also a scaled-up version of John Browning's M1917 .30 caliber machine gun (even using the same timing gauges).
Storage of M2 Machine Guns
There are two types of great weapon storage racks that can store your M2 Machine Guns out there on the market today. The best solutions are to either buy a tactical weapons storage rack, which can store up to four M2 Machine Guns inside of a rack that can also store other items such as parts for the M2 as well. You can also purchase a machine gun weapon rack that also holds up to four machine guns at one time. The M2 Machine Gun Weapons Rack is more open than the tactical rack.
