SecureIt Tactical introduced the Tactical Model 84 weapon storage platform in 2008 after 6 years of armory design experience and distributing other brand systems. The SecureIt Tactical Weapon Storage Platform is unique in many ways. First and foremost this is not a closed proprietary system. Where all other system on the market require you to purchase all components and upgrades directly for the manufacturer or their authorized dealer, the SecureIt system is compatible with a wide variety of storage products most of which can be purchased at Home Depot or any hardware store.
Besides weapons the amount of gear stored in armories is growing exponentially. SecureIt Spokesman "We literally walked the aisles of home depot to how America stores things. We coined the phrase Home Depot Development which means to find and use what is readily available to military operators to solve storage challenges"
This approach coupled with their Patent Pending saddle system allows operators to quickly modify and adapt the system to a changing environment without the need to purchase additional components which can be difficult and time consuming.
Lets talk about the saddle system. This is where the SecureIt Tactical system really outperforms other products. SecureIt engineers have produces and saddle system for weapon that consists to 2 primary components, an upper and lower saddle. This two piece system will store virtually all shoulder launch and crew served weapon systems. Handguns are stored in high impact plastic bins ( also available at most hardware stores) or a high density peg pack. adjustable shelves and dividers round out the system. This is by far the easiest system to deploy and modify on the market.

SecureIt upper and lower saddles systems
As seen above the SecureIt upper saddles features and unique and clever way to secure weapon in mobile or seismic applications. The upper saddle is molded with cleats to allow the use of simple bungee cord tie downs. Not only is the simple and inexpensive it also works better then any other system on the market. The lowers saddle also has a molded hook to allow the use of burgees to further secure weapons for tactical truck and transport applications.
![]() | SecureIt Handgun packs High impact plastic bins with a removable divider and a molded insert stores hand guns efficiently and allows operators to locate handguns anywhere in the weapon cabinet. Two sizes are available left is the smaller bin where the handle of the 9mm handguns hangs on the molded yoke. The larger bin stores the handgun entirely inside the bin. Both work very well. We were told the that the larger bins are more popular however the smaller units and used heavily in high density applications. The peg system image not shown provides the smallest footprint for handgun storage. the pegs are steel with a proprietary Teflon/nylon coating that SecureIt tells us will not mar weapons and is warranted to last 15 years. The pegs also prevent handguns from being stored with a round in the chamber. |
The Cabinet
The Tactical weapon storage cabinet is all welded 14 GA steel construction. This is the strongest and heaviest cabinet on the market. Shelf loading is rates at 900 lbs per shelf, competing system range form 50 to 150 lbs. SecureIt Cabinets also have the smallest footprint in the industry. When space is tight in an armory the small footprint is a huge advantage. SecureIt Tactical Model 84 cabinets are available with bi-folding and retracting doors. The door options allow systems to be designed to best meet the application.
Images below provided by SecureIt show a small sample of the configurations possible with the Tactical Weapons Storage System. All configurations were achieved using only 3 basic components and shelving.
